Celebrating 10 Years of Volunteer Days

Each September and October, Elevance Health associates take their dedication to our company’s purpose directly into the community by participating in Elevance Health Volunteer Days.

Many associates spend their volunteer time working with local food banks, in community gardens, and with local service organizations to help improve food security in their communities. Last year, associates in 34 cities volunteered with more than 110 organizations on more than 130 community focused projects.

“Elevance Health associates believe strongly in our purpose to improve the health of humanity, and they show up all year long to help fulfill it,” said Dr. Shantanu Agrawal, chief health officer, Elevance Health. “Volunteer Days gives us the chance to demonstrate this to our communities.”

In the last 10 years of volunteering, 15,000 associates have served over 3 million people through more than 40,000 hours of service. Associates continue to support their communities as we did on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024, with $1.3 million worth of financial donations to 1,100 organizations.
