Elena McFann

Elena McFann is a senior executive for Elevance Health’s government business division and is currently president of Elevance Health’s Medicare business. She is responsible for strategy, financial performance, and operational execution for Elevance Health’s portfolio of plans serving 2.8 million older adults and other Medicare-eligible individuals in 23 states.

Previously, McFann was president of Elevance Health’s east region Medicare business, after having served as president of the Medicaid west region. Prior to Elevance Health, McFann held several senior executive and leadership roles at UnitedHealthcare. McFann has more than 25 years of experience as a managed care executive, leading teams that deliver innovation and improve access to quality, affordable healthcare.

McFann graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. She earned her MBA from Southern Methodist University and a master of health care delivery science degree from Dartmouth College.
